In keeping with our mandate of kathak creation that is fresh and imaginative, our 2018 Traditions Alive recital presented KETEVAN, on December 14, 2018.
This TRUE story of a resolute 15th Century Queen from Eastern Georgia, was a success! Our sold out audience loved the continuity of a story, and a story they were completely unfamiliar with. Seemlessly woven together with images and narration, the story traveled from the queen as a young girl named Maia, to the exiled Queen, protector of her people.
Our school continues to train kathak dancers at the highest artistic level and our new spring 2019 sessions begin the week of March 25. Winter has been tough – Spring will be glorious!!!
