On Sunday June 7, our entire Kathak family came together  for a wonderful performance at the Fairview Library Theatre.  My mantra for the month preceding the recital was ‘Tayar and Community’: in other words,  Be as prepared as possible, and  Acknowledge the many ways Kathak belongs to people in our community.  Everyone danced beyond their personal bests, and a great time was had by all!

Dancers from 5 – 55 participated and with our many, many volunteers, the afternoon flowed seamlessly.

Special thanks to Chad for all his effort in the West End classes, Ian and Santosh for all the beautiful music created (and for running the show!), Shawn and George for capturing everything on video, Maya for volunteer coordination, Katja for running front of house,  Priyank for photographs in this blog, and all others who made this memorable event happen!
